Rebuilding the World Trade Center:

The "American Spirit Tower" Design incorporates the perfect balance between Symbolic Icon, Memorial & Commerce.

Not an office building, but a towering spire with two observation levels. The very top section includes the "Sky Memorial" which honors those we lost on 9/11. The lower observation deck is located at the roof height of the original WTC towers.

Using a technique implemented by Nasa to honor the Challenger Astronauts, the Sky Memorial will incorporate lighting effects so that every 9/11 the sun, by its unique position in the sky on that date, will illuminate an engraved wall of names in a specific and distinctive manner. Entry to the Sky Memorial will be free of charge.

The tower sits in a newly created Park. The Park contains two reflecting pools where the original Twin Tower footprints exist. The American Spirit tower will form its base from each of the footprints. The roots of the AST rise up from these points and join together to form our new single structure. The American Spirit Tower, at over 2200 feet tall, will stand taller than any human structure ever built.

The sides of the AST that are adjacent to where the original WTC towers stood have the exact same stainless steel facade as the originals, creating a mirrored image of what had been.

Across from the tower is the "Hall of Heroes", a Memorial Museum honoring all those who gave of themselves for others on 9/11 as well as in the aftermath. It will incorporate images and artifacts from 9/11.

Behind the tower stands an office complex with up to 9 Million Square feet of office space. Below grade will be a state of the art shopping and transportation hub.
